Fall is one of my favorite times of year -- the leaves are changing, the weather cools off and all the fun festivities that Halloween brings! I just love any excuse to celebrate! Why not use this as an opportunity to tie in themes of the season with deeply meaningful, Gospel-Reminders as well?

Candy Corn Reminders:

ORANGE — reminds us of the pumpkins we see this time of year — each one is filled with gunk that must be cleaned out before it can have a light placed inside! It is the same way with our hearts — when we ask, Jesus cleans out our heart of all its “gunk” ( aka — sin: lies, anger, disobedience, bad thoughts) and He transforms us into something NEW! Something that can SHINE brightly for Him — from the inside out (just like the jack-o-lantern pumpkins)!

WHITE—reminds of us the purity (righteousness, cleaned and forgiveness of our sins) that is ours through Jesus! (Isaiah 1:18, John 1:29, John 3:16-17)

YELLOW — reminds us that we are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and to SHINE BRIGHT from within for Him — that we were made to GLOW in the dark! ( (John 1:5, Matthew 5:14-16)
